God made man to live in harmony with Himself...and it is still possible!!!

We all go through life gathering information and facts that help to forge our characters. From being on our mother’s lap to passing through school, college, university and employment we are constantly gathering things we need to know.

But how many of us ever take time to listen to the things God says we need to know?

If God is eternal and offers us eternal life then isn’t it in our interests to know what those essential things are that God wants us to know.

Many academic brains today still insist that – no it is important because the ‘whole God thing is a myth’.

But that is simply their opinion and they are just as capable of being totally wrong as the next man is.

Let’s suppose they are wrong and after all if we are inclined to believe them, then we are not going to find out whether they are right or wrong until it is possibly too late…too late to change our minds…too late to plead our ignorance.

According to the Bible, God wants us to know that –
1)                          WE NEED TO BE SAVED
“There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.”(Ecclesiastes Ch 7 v20)
• “Every one of us shall give account of himself to God”(Romans Ch14 v 12)
• “Just as man is destined to die and after that face judgement”. (Hebrews Ch 98 v27)
• “Unless a man is ‘born again’ he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John Ch 3 v3)
2)                    WE CANNOT SAVE OURSELVES
“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” (James Ch 2 v10)
• “He saved us not because of righteous things we had done but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” (Titus Ch 3 v5)
3)             GOD HAS PROVIDED FOR OUR SALVATION
“God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John Ch3 v16)
• “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.”(1 Peter Ch 3 v18)
• “Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man comes to the Father except through me.” (John Ch 14 v6)
4)                        YOU CAN BE SAVED TODAY
“Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”(Hebrews Ch 4 v7)
• “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Acts Ch 16 v 31)
• “But unless you repent you too will all perish.” Luke Ch 13 v3)
• “If we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John Ch 1 v18)

We can all respond to that. We can come before God and confess our sins, seek His forgiveness for those sins, acknowledge Jesus Christ as God’s chosen way of our salvation and we can ask Him to inhabit our lives by the Holy Spirit to so transform, or ‘make new’ our lives thus brining our spirit back to life from being dead in sin and rebellious towards God to new life in Christ (“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” 2 Corinthians Ch5 v17) - thus causing us to be ‘born again’.

But we also need to go public. We need to be baptised as a BELIEVER as a declaration of our new faith and we need to tell others.

For a troubled soul - that is Good News for it shows there is an answer.
For a soul hell bent on its own destruction- that is Good News for it shows that there is another way.

                     WHERE DO YOU STAND TODAY?

You may be in that dark place where you do not want to believe…you do not want a relationship with God…you do not want salvation.

                           That is YOUR CHOICE.

But it does not change YOUR NEED TO BE SAVED for you will be called to an appointment, one day, with God- an appointment of Judgement.

You may be in that place where you are desperately seeking an answer to life then, having read this, you need to recognise that maybe God is calling you to an appointment with Him- not an appointment of Judgement but an appointment of reconciliation and forgiveness…and NEW LIFE.

If so- be serious about your soul and its destiny and CALL ON HIM TODAY

“…EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” (Acts Ch 2 v22)

                       WHAT ABOUT YOU ?
